Ted Laking — Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources
Mechanism: Ministerial directive via Yukon Development Corporation / Yukon Energy Corporation

Direct Yukon Energy and ATCO Electric Yukon to create a plug-in generation category for certified systems under 1200W. Especially valuable in remote communities for summer diesel displacement.

Legal basis: The Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources is responsible for the Yukon Development Corporation and Yukon Energy Corporation. The Minister has authority to direct policy on interconnection and tariff structure. A plug-in class can be established by directive.
